The GDS team would like to thank everyone for helping us celebrate our 8th birthday in style.
The competition and ball weekend just past was our most successful to date thanks to all the fabulous dancers that competed and performed throughout the day. The standard of dancing was phenomenal. Particular commendations go to the team and cabaret events for entertaining and innovative choreography. We can't wait to see what creativity next year's birthday weekend will inspire.

Congratulations to all dancers that placed in the competition and to the 69 winners of prizes that were up for grabs at the ball, including the laptop, 42-inch LCD television and 110cc quad bike.

We couldn't do this without the dance studios that came along to support the weekend, the spectators and all of our generous sponsors, so a massive thanks to each and every one of you.

Saturdays GDS Open Nationals Dance Competition

Great dancing by everyone on the day. Congratulations to all competitors who placed.

We had some amazing efforts from people this year. Many of our interstate guests travelled by road. One particularly impressive effort was from Le Step Gold Coast who

hired a mini bus to travel down on Friday, competed and danced all day and night Saturday at the competition and ball, and then managed to travel back Saturday night. Wow! Ceroc Melbourne was here in force and, as always, was very loud and energetic. Fantastic effort guys. NSW Newcastle Dance Vibe, Mamboroc, Sydney CMJ and Adelaide Jive by Night came in force and made their presence felt as well.

Thank you to all the people from Canberra that supported the event.

We would love to see more dancers at the competition and ball next year winning trophies and prizes.
